For years, a lot of us spent November trying to write a novel alongside hundreds of thousands of strangers. That home is gone. This is a smaller one: cohorts of friends keeping each other company through a stretch of writing.

Every word counted here was written by a person. No AI-generated text, no AI "help", no training anybody's model on anything. Just us, typing.

How it works

• Cohorts are challenges you do together. Each one has its own dates, word goal, board and Discord channel. Join a friend's with an invite link, or start your own, even a solo one.
• Log once. Record what you wrote each day, and it counts toward every cohort you're in, each measured against its own goal.
• See your pace, your streak, and what it takes to finish on time.
• Cheer each other on. Each cohort decides whether its board is a friendly list or a leaderboard.
• Your words are yours. You can download all your data any time.
• Profile pictures are optional. Uploads are shrunk and re-saved, which strips hidden photo details like location, and only logged-in writers can see them.
